Richard Lim
CEO

Richard previously headed up the ‘Retail Insight and Analytics’ team at the British Retail Consortium. Before that, he worked in mergers and acquisitions for Citi Group. He has a wealth of experience in data analytics, consumer research and macroeconomics, and is skilled in generating actionable insights for clients. Richard is based in London and has a keen interest in Behavioural Game Theory.

Stephen Robertson
Chairman

In addition to his role of Chairman at Retail Economics, Stephen is also non-executive director of Timpson Group (privately held services retailer), Hargreaves Lansdown plc (FTSE 100 consumer financial services) and Clipper Retail Logistics plc. Stephen is Visiting Professor to Bristol Business School, University West of England. He spent seven years as Marketing Director at B&Q before leading the acquisition of Screwfix Direct which he then chaired through a period of strong growth.

Stuart Parkinson
Chief Economist

Stuart is the Chief Economist at Retail Economics following an extensive career in the financial sector (ex-Chief Operating Officer for Research at Deutsche Bank representing research on committees including the Global Markets European Management, Global Equities Management and Chief Operating Officers Executive Committee). He has a deep passion for economics and has conducted complex data analysis and research to identify methods to achieve cost savings in business and everyday life. Stuart is in the process of writing two books, the first on US Federal Reserve policy, and the second on utilising economic theory to help people rationalise their spending decisions.

Josh Holmes
Senior Consultant

Josh has over a decade of experience in market research, financial services, and commercial real estate, bringing a unique blend of expertise and creativity to his role. Prior to joining Retail Economics, he held prominent roles at BNP Paribas and the Fitch Group, leading consumer research, publications, and forecasting. Josh’s ability to assess retailer performance and connect macro trends with consumer behaviour make him a sought-after commentator in media outlets like FT, Bloomberg, The Times, and Retail Week. Outside of work, he enjoys countryside living and supporting Man United, reminding him of the need for constant evolution even for successful brands.

Nicholas Found
Senior Consultant

Nicholas works as a senior consultant at Retail Economics, managing and directing proprietary research and media direction for clients. Nicholas has gained specialism in both retailer and consumer insights from a background in research and publishing, underlined by a First-Class Honours degree in Economics. He previously worked for a retail marketing consultancy specialising in shopper insights, before heading content at Retail Week Prospect, focusing on retailer strategies and content development.

Yaamir Badhe
Analyst

Yaamir joined Retail Economics as a summer intern in 2021 at the end of his penultimate year at university before accepting an offer to return as an analyst in October 2022. Yaamir has worked on a range of projects spanning both the subscription and consultancy services offered by Retail Economics. He has cultivated a keen interest in sustainability and digital transformation in the retail industry, while also being proficient at sector analysis, specialising in household goods and home improvements. Before joining Retail Economics, Yaamir studied Classics, which afforded him strong communication and analytical skills, while also remaining his passion outside of work.

Isabella Adamson
Retail analyst

As a retail analyst at Retail Economics, Isabella specialises in data-led insight, economic analysis and visualisation. With a background in teaching Power BI and Python at the London School of Economics (LSE), her skills bring strong analytical rigour and practical commercial focus to every project. Her academic training spans international business management and economy and society, underpinning a commitment to using data and technology to solve complex retail challenges. Powered by reformer pilates and matcha lattes, her energy is something to behold in the office.

Nathan Redsull
Senior analyst

Nathan is a senior analyst with a strong specialism in econometric modelling, forecasting and applied economic analysis. He brings a rigorous, methodical approach to interpreting complex datasets, using quantitative techniques to uncover patterns, test scenarios and support evidence-led decision-making. With a strong grounding in applied economics and financial markets, his work spans macroeconomic analysis, performance benchmarking and insight development across retail and consumer-facing sectors. Outside of work, he has a long-standing interest in electronic music and follows both basketball and football, reflecting a mindset that values rhythm, structure and strategic play both on and off the court!

Paul is a senior insight executive with extensive experience across retail analysis, consumer research, economic modelling and commercial strategy. He combines strong quantitative skills with qualitative insight to assess trends across the retailer industry, interpret macroeconomic trends, and translate complex data into actionable intelligence. His work spans forecasting, thought leadership trend analysis, insight storytelling and executive-level reporting. Outside of work, he enjoys countryside living, reading and is continually reminding colleagues about the value of balance from a Zen perspective.

Senior Insight Executive

Jon is a senior insight executive specialising in sales strategy, thought leadership partnerships and business development. He works closely with clients and partners to shape commercially focused research, translate insight into compelling narratives, and unlock long-term value through strategic collaboration. With a strong instinct for identifying opportunity and aligning insight to business outcomes, he plays a central role in driving growth across research-led campaigns. Outside of work, Jon enjoys sport and reading, and is known for a near-Rain Man ability to recall the release year of almost any film between 1970 and 2000.

Tech support and Cyber Security

Tris provides tech support and cyber security expertise, supporting IT systems and digital infrastructure across the business. He plays a key role in maintaining our secure, reliable platforms while also supporting content and digital outputs where needed. With a practical, solutions-led mindset, he helps ensure technology enables productivity rather than getting in the way! Tris enjoys running and wildlife photography. He also loves nature and can often be found wondering in the woods, but usually returns!

Ken Lam
Brand and Design

Ken is our senior graphic designer and head of branding, responsible for shaping the visual identity and creative direction of the business. He brings a meticulous eye for detail to everything from brand systems and layouts to presentation design and visual storytelling. With a strong appreciation for structure and consistency, he ensures ideas are communicated clearly and cohesively across all channels. Ken enjoys modifying cars, planning holidays (even if they do not always happen) and collecting old comics. These interests reflect a love of design, nostalgia and thoughtful planning that carries through into his creative work.

Rebecca Thomson
Senior Consultant

Rebecca is a senior consultant specialising in retail analysis, journalism and thought leadership storytelling. She brings a strong editorial instinct to insight-led research, helping shape clear, compelling narratives grounded in robust analysis.
